In Grand Rapids, Michigan tonight, a group of LGBT Christians will publicly share stories of their journies of faith in in a panel discussion sponsored by Gays in Faith Together and the Marin Foundation. 

Medical student Dan H. recently attended a lecture on health care issues unique to transgender people and blogged about it.  I don’t know Dan personally, but the tenor of his post greatly encouraged me.  He tells the story of our community better than many of us do.

Arffirmation, an advocacy group for LGBT Mormons, has requested a meeting with newly ordained Church President Thomas S. Monson.  They hope to “open a dialog…to work together to find better ways to counsel and to support” LGBT Church members, their families, and their communities.  Dialog is always good, I think.
